Re:Chocolate-Raspberry Tart with a Gingersnap Crust

A great combination of flavors. The gingersnap crust is easy and adds lots of flavor. I've made this recipe and then made 4 6-inch tarts instead of one large tart.

Re:Chicken Thighs with Sausage & Braised Fennel

This stew is delicious! I've made it so many times and every time people rave. I've found that I can make it in a slow cooker, too! Saute the ingredients as suggested, then combine it all in a slow cooker on high for 4 hours or low for 6 hours. Finish as directed.

Re:Smoked Salmon Rolls

I made these for a holiday party. The ingredients were pretty easy to assemble, but they were really hard to roll up. They didn't stay together very well, and the filling leaked out. Also, the flavor wasn't anything spectacular. The cost of the smoked salmon compared with the small quantity means that I won't make these again.

Re:Ham, Gruyère & Honey-Mustard Palmiers

I've made these for the past three years for my holiday party. They are easy to make ahead - I just keep them rolled in plastic wrap in my fridge if it's close to the date, otherwise I freeze and defrost the day before the party. I've used all kinds of sliced ham from the deli, and once I used a grained mustard instead of the honey mustard. I also made them into spirals one year when I wasn't paying attention. All versions are delicious! Serve them warm out of the oven and they will disappear.

Re:Rustic Bean & Farro Soup

My cousin made this for me over the holidays. She used spelt instead of farro. It was the best bean/vegetable soup I've ever had! Much more flavor than a typical bean soup. And, it was really easy to make - most ingredients are on hand! I'm pretty sure the pancetta is the key! I've already bought the ingredients to make my own!
