I followed the recipe exactly. They came out chewy, moist and very chocolatey. Be careful not to overbake; check for doneness after about 30 minutes. Delicious served with a little vanilla ice cream!

Re:Slow-Roasted Summer Tomatoes

I have been making these every summer since this recipe was first printed in Fine Cooking. They are truly incredible. I usually chop them up and add fresh basil and toasted pignoli nuts. Spread some goat cheese on toasted French bread and top with the tomatoes - delish!! I have also used them on pasta, too. Very versatile.

Re:Spaghetti & Meatballs

These are, hands down, the best meatballs I have ever had. Even my friends with Italian grandmothers say these meatballs rival their 'nana's'. These are now a staple in my house, and I am always asked for the recipe when I serve them to friends. The only changes I recommend is use about half the water and salt that is called for. I found them to be too salty and mushy when I followed the recipe precisely.

These cookies are amazing. They are moist and chewy, with a delicious ginger and butter taste. I have made these many times, since they are so easy and fabulous. They always get raves!

Re:Apricot Coconut Bars

I followed this recipe exactly, but the results were somewhat disappointing. The taste was terrific, but they were extremely difficult to cut. The topping was very sticky, and the base was so crumbly, that they disintegrated when I tried cutting them into squares. I would not make these again.

Re:Roasted Pears with Caramel Sauce

I made this to serve with the browned butter almond cake (see recipe on this site). WOW! The roasted pears are simply delicious with the buttery rich caramel sauce. This pairs perfectly with the cake. My cooking club was very impressed.

I served this cake at my monthly cooking club and it was a huge hit. I served this with the Roasted Pears with Caramel Sauce (see recipe on this site) which really elevated this dessert to an elegant way to end a meal. The sweetness of the cake really plays well with the slight tartness of the roasted pears. Very delicious.
