Re:New Year’s Black-Eyed Pea Curry

Superb! Love the exotic spice -- I did add a little extra of most of them. Didn't miss meat, either! Wonderful on rice. Will definitely make again!I cooked my own black-eyed peas, simply to avoid the extra salt. I think that contributed to the toothsomeness of the dish!

Re:Shrimp and Asparagus with Cheddar Grits

Scrumptious and unusual! Not too much work, although it uses a lot of pans. YUM!

Re:Juicy Roast Turkey

this was such a simple recipe, but produced such fabulous results! My husband proclaimed it to be the best turkey he has ever had the pleasure of carving!I think the secret was to start the turkey bottom up, which kept the great from drying out.AWESOME!

Re:Beet Green and Bulgur Soup with Poached Eggs

This was an absolutely satisfying, delicious soup. I like thick soups, so would not be tempted to add more stock. I did use my own vegetable stock, which I'm sure contributed to the great flavor. I still can't figure out how onions, garlic, salt, and pepper made such a flavorful soup! YUM! This will be made again!

Re:Broiled Salmon with a White Bean, Kale & Bacon Ragoût

This is such an easy dish to prepare, yet the flavor abounds! The fresher the salmon, the better. Made this in California at our time share and my husband raved about it. Another positive is that it's quite healthy, with the exception of the bacon! This will remain a staple at our house!

Re:Twice-Baked Sweet Potatoes with Leeks and Sausage

Absolutely scrumptious! Truly one of the best recipes I've made recently. Had to substitute some ingredients: used Italian "hot" sausage, rather than mild (which I would use again,) doubled the fresh thyme and sage, and used havarti dill cheese, since I didn't have gruyere. Couldn't believe just how delicious this was!!!! It's a keeper!
