Re:Gazpacho

Very easy to make and addictive to eat. I like this kind of smooth gazpacho that is less acidic. I made it according to the recipe but only added store bought croutons the next night. Either way it was great. I'm about to make it again in less than a week. Four or five minutes of blending in my blender caused it to shut down so this time I'll have to do it less or in short spurts.

Re:Braised Italian Chicken with Green Beans, Tomatoes & Olives

I gave it a good review just to ask a question. I wonder if this could be made with boneless breasts? I can't get boneless thigh meat here in South Africa and I don't feel like hacking up the regular thighs. I would have to put the chicken in at a later point so it wouldn't overcook. I like one pot meals so I'm willing to try.

Re:Classic Key Lime Pie

As someone who grew up in southern Florida, I can say key lime pie does NOT have a pastry crust. What I love about it is the crumb crust. I don't know about the filling but the whole thing is a fluffed up version of a folk dessert that developed because of the lack of refrigeration. I'm more of a purist. I hate to give it a rating since I haven't made it but the review function makes me.

Re:Classic Tomato Soup Recipe

This was not quite there but it might be the canned tomatoes we have in Jordan. My husband is a tomato soup maniac and he agreed it was bland but the texture was good. I'm going to search for better tomatoes and see if that makes a difference. This is the closest we've come to that tomato soup flavor and texture so I'll keep working with it It also should be lower in sodium than canned, of course.
