Re:Creamy Garlic Mashed Potatoes

This is wonderful. Make sure you use all the garlic it calls for as it does give a nice mellow taste - not over powering at all.

Re:Slow-Roasted Pork Shoulder with Carrots, Onions, and Garlic

This is a wonderful & easy recipe. I also reduced the salt and added more veg. It's great served with the garlic mash (and yes, the garlic mash needs all the garlic it calls for) or roasties. We make this frequently - especially when pork shoulder is on sale :)

Re:Spinach & Mushroom-Stuffed Pork Tenderloin with Sherry Cream Sauce

This was absolutely gorgeous! Loved it to bits and didn't change a thing!

Re:Braised Beef Short Ribs with Salsa Verde and Feta

We love beef short ribs and have made many fabulous recipes. We weren't able to do the Salsa Verde as we unexpectedly had company that wouldn't try anything that adventurous. However, we prepared the short ribs as per the directions and they were the BEST we've ever had - the sauce is marvelous. We had the leftovers the next day as pulled BBQ beef rolls - wonderful!

Re:Farfalle in a Broth of Wild Mushrooms & Browned Shallots

Very good and easy to make. I did add Italian sausage meatballs and pancetta cubes to entice my husband to try it - he does not like pasta. He also thought the dish was really good. Made it with the garlic bread - also very good!

Re:Parsnip, Potato, and Scallion Pancakes

My husband does not like potato pancakes - but - made these for "me" as I love potato pancakes. Now, maybe because he made them, he thinks they're great & so do I! We've made them regularily over the past year - the parsnip really adds a lovely dimension to the pancakes!

Re:Mexican Tomato Rice & Beans Recipe

This is better than 5 stars - we loved it. The only changes we made was adding chopped fresh tomatoes and onions. I didn't have black beans, so used kidney beans. To make it a complete meal, we added some shredded cooked chicken that had been marinated in mexican spices. It's even better the next day (or two or three). We will make this over and over again!!!

Re:Summery Avocado BLTs

Absolutely fantastic. I always put avocado on the BLT's - goes beautifully with the salty bacon. Personally I like crunchy, raw, sweet onions & think they make a nice addition

Re:Egg Foo Yung with Chicken and Shiitake

We love spicey Asian cooking but the chilies are not agreeing with my husband. This fast, quick dish, along with the suggested bok choy with ginger & garlic, gave us the taste of the Orient without the after burn.
