Re:Southwestern Beef Stew with Squash and Beans

Absolutely loved this stew and will definitely make it again. I found the favors to be complex and I enjoyed the different textures of the meat, beans and vegetables. I used butternut squash and I would suggest sauting it for at least 5-7 minutes before adding the peppers.

Re:Penne with Spinach, Gorgonzola, and Walnuts

I was very disappointed with this recipe. I found it bland to say the least. Wished in hindsight that I had reduced the cream and added the Gorgonzola cheese at the end so that there were tasty little tidbits of flavour . Reducing it with the cream totally removed any taste of the cheese. I will not make it again.

Re:Lobster Napoleon with Herbed Potato Tuiles

I made this appetizer a few years ago and I absolutely loved it. It is time-consuming and one has to be aware of the need of advanced prep and good use of organizational skills, especially around the rest of the meal. Also care has to be taken when layering the different ingredients or it will topple! It is a show stopper when placed in front of guests and it is equally delicious. I love it when Fine Foods offers challenges for us foodies!
