Re:Ginger-Sesame-Chicken Lettuce Wraps

In the description by the author she states "sweet, salt, heat, and crunch". Accurately describes the dish for most people. I do like spicy, hot so I increased the sriracha in the wok along with topping the chicken on the lettuce. Only note I made during the stir fry was to add a bit of water during the cooking of the chicken. Meat was sticking a bit to the wok. I like it well enough to place in my recipe box.

Re:Spanish Potato Tortilla (Tortilla Española) Recipe

Good recipe with excellent instructions. I adjusted for a 12" nonstick skillet, lowered the heat, and added a bit of flavor - chiles and spices. I used pure olive oil and a white potato from the farm's potato cellars(chippers used for making potato chips). Next time I will flavor it differently as it is a dish that will adjust well to different ethnic flavors.

Re:Cucumber, Basil, and Peanut Salad

Simple and fast. Especially fast when cucumbers and basil are ready in the garden. I made only 2 additions: red pepper flakes and refrigeration. I prefer the salad to be refrigerated for a few hours to allow the vinaigrette to meld with the cucumbers, basil, and peanuts. Having this cold salad in 100 degree heat is wonderful.

Re:Vietnamese-Style Beef with Garlic, Black Pepper, and Lime

Excellent flavor, comes together quickly, and is great on a bed of lettuce. Would be easy to make after work. This one can stand on its own. I did like another reviewer's use of cucumbers. I did have to substitute ribeye steak for the tri-tip/tenderloin as I had it on hand.Overall - quick, minimal ingredients, full flavored, flexible/forgiving, and plates beautifully
