Re:Ginger-Spice Sandwich Cookies with Lemon Cream

These sandwich cookies were flying off the cooling rack as fast as I could put them together! A perfect cookie for adults and kids alike. I made mine pretty small (maybe a teaspoon of dough), and they were very cute. I've made them twice now and I know they will be in regular rotation!

Re:Popovers

I made this recipe two nights in a row (to have with our Christmas dinner leftovers), and it turned out great both times. I feel like you knever know what is going to happen with popovers but these rose perfectly both times and had a great texture and flavor. I didnt have half and half so I used mostly skim milk with a splash of heavy cream. This will be my go-to popover recipe from now on.

Re:Spice-Rubbed Roast Beef Tenderloin with Red Wine Sauce Recipe

Very Good and super easy! I realized at the last minute that I didn't have either fennel seed or caraway, so I just used salt, pepper, and fresh thyme for the rub. the sauce reduced in a reasonable amount of time for me and it was delicious. I knew I had a winner when I saw my brother ladling the sauce over his scalloped potatoes! We are enjoying the leftovers in sandwiches, too.

Re:Jellied Cranberry-Orange Sauce

This jelled perfectly for me. I used the peel from almost an entire orange and the one clove, and thought the two flavors came through nicely.

Re:Sautéed Zucchini with Za’atar and Crispy Chickpeas

So good! I actually used an Indian-type spice mix but will try it with making my own za'atar mix as well. We had it over Israeli couscous. The chickpeas are amazing this way. I've fried them before but shaking them in the cornstarch makes them very crispy. Can't wait to get more summer squash from my CSA next week!

Re:Roasted Tomato Salsa

I agree this is the best salsa--this is the only salsa recipe I make now. It's great with either supermarket Roma's or summer-ripe tomatoes from our CSA.
