Re:Blueberry-Lemon Galette

This was the third galette recipe I've tried, and it's my favorite. Great crust- had flakiness and crusty layers- yum- and bit of richness from the egg yolk. I used lime zest instead of the lemon zest- (was all I had on hand- wasn't going to do it- but my wife said "go for it"). She was right. The lime paired so well. Got to try more lime zest in baking projects.fyi- I baked ate 375 degrees instead of 350- got done in 44 min- with great deep red/browns.Next time I'll make two batches, and freeze one. This is a keeper.

Re:Rosemary and Pine Nut Cookies

I'd hoped to make these for over a year, and they turned out great. Flavors were really nicely balanced between the pine nut and rosemary, and they had a little crisp to them when they cooled off. This recipe is a keeper.

Re:Spicy Potato Samosas (Aloo Samosas)

fantastic. Great dough and delightful filling. I used butter instead of Crisco- and added 1/4C toasted wheat germ for flavor and nutrition. The dough was very workable, rolled out real thin, and fried up with lots of flakiness. The garam masla filling was a fabulous flavor complement. It was lengthy process, about an hour overall- but worth it. SOOO much better than any Samosa I've tried before.Good plain, but also great with the cilantro dip, and with the Thai spicy chili garlic sauce we keep in the fridge.
