Easy, fast, tasty and cured my cold! Used frozen corn instead of hominy, doubled the hot pepper and added sliced green onion. Will definitely make again.

Blah. Not nearly as flavourful as expected and the recipe is rather imprecise (took much longer to cook all ingredients; should the onion be cooked or not?). Added some lemon, sumac, pepper after tasting but it really couldn't be redeemed. Probably the least satisfying FC recipe I've tried.

O...M...G. This is good. Have made it several times. Next time will make two. Loved the leftovers with poached eggs and hash. Also good eaten straight from the fridge.

I've made this a dozen times or more (with varied fruits) and it never fails. Even the folks who claim they don't like meringue enjoy this. A nice light ending to a meal.

Really liked this cake... light and not sweet. Used pecans instead of walnuts, otherwise prepared as indicated. I also used a parchment-lined 10 inch pan but will use the recommended springform next time for easier removal.

Texturally these are pretty good, especially given that there is no xanthan gum in them. And the taste was OK, but I find quinoa flour has an off-putting chemical smell. Next time I will try with a different GF flour.By the way, buckwheat does not contain gluten as the previous reviewer suggested, so these are indeed gluten-free.Edit: Tried these again using mix of brown rice flour and BRM All-Purpose GF flour in lieu of quinoa-- fantastic.

Re:Sear-Roasted Salmon with Honey-Glazed Fennel

I adore this recipe-- light, simple, elegant... and big on fennel flavour. Don't skip the sumac- this recipe has made it my new favourite spice. My only change (because I like caramelized fennel) is to partly cook the fennel before putting the salmon in. Go for it!
