Re:Garlicky Tortellini, Spinach & Tomato Soup

Really good for how easy and fast it is. I used boxed tortellini, frozen cut spinach, and diced tomatoes with green chilies and it turned out great.

Re:Blueberry Streusel Bars with Lemon-Cream Filling

These were ok, but I didn't love them. I was thinking with all the 5-star reviews that they would be better. I'm not sure what it is I didn't like, maybe they need more of the lemon filling.

Re:Blueberry Lime Cheesecake

Delicious! Perfect amount of lime to compliment the blueberries. Served this to a group of friends and they all loved it - even those who don't care for blueberries.

Re:Strawberry-Blueberry Cobbler with Pecans & Cinnamon

I would give this 3 1/2 stars if I could. I used peaches and rhubarb instead of the blueberries. The fruit was good - but I thought the cobbler part of the recipe was a little too heavy. It had more of a cookie/biscuit texture, which I wasn't too crazy about. I think from now on I'll stick with crisps and crumbles.

Re:Roasted Strawberry Shortcakes with Vanilla Biscuits

These biscuits are so amazing. I made these for a dinner party and they were a big hit. I made the roasted berries and while they were good- I think I prefer fresh berries on a shortcake. Also, the mixture of sour cream and whipping cream is heavenly.

Re:Seared Tuna with Tropical Salsa

I actually used this recipe as a main course and didn't use the crackers. I cooked the tuna for about 2 min per side so they wouldn't be as rare and substituted mangoes for the pineapple. I also marinated the tuna for about an hour in Kecap Manis that I had left over. It was really delicious and easy.

Re:Bacon and Cheddar Macaroni & Cheese

This is a great mac and cheese recipe and fairly easy and quick. I added in steamed broccoli florets to the final mixture as well as mixing in the sour cream instead of using it on top and it was delicious. Also, I used whipping cream instead of heavy cream and if I make it again, I might even try to see if whole milk would work.

Re:Gumbo Ya Ya

Super Delicious! I cut the recipe in half and it served 4 (although 3 had seconds). It is a little time consuming because of the roux, but well worth it! I used chicken on the bone and it was very flavorful. Also, I don't know what file powder is and so I just left it out and it didn't seem to make a difference. Will definitely make it again.

Re:Orange-Curry Chicken with a Pecan Crust

This chicken is super delicious. I made it for some friends and they loved it. The marinade makes for very moist chicken and the crumb coating is excellent.

Re:Sear-Roasted Halibut with Tomato & Capers

Excellent and easy! I used baby heirloom tomatoes and served it over couscous. I did cut down on the amount of capers by half and I thought it was perfect.
