Lovely, those a bit labor intensive with all of the veggie prep. Best to get that all done before you start the cooking process, as that moves along quickly. I used tofu instead of the Canadian bacon.

I loved the blend of flavor, and didn't feel a need to add any extra seasoning. I hesitated to make the recipe because I hate peeling winter squash. I cut it all up, then peeled each piece individually - time consuming but easier than peeing the whole pumpkin at once. Four stars only because of the extra work.

Quick, easy and delicious! We used fresh tomatoes from the garden. Just blanch them first to remove the skins.

Excellent. Much easier to make than arranging slices in a tart. Both filling and crust were very good. I used Italian prune plums. Be sure to use parchment or you will never get it off the pan.

Re:Spicy Chicken & White Bean Chili

This chili was a little plain as far as the ingredients are concerned but the flavor was complex. I don't really care for the smoky flavor of the adobo sauce but just added less. The combination of the chili and the avocado mixture was excellent, so make sure you add a generous helping of the avocado. We didn't use sour cream. I made this for my family, and was not sure the 3 teenage boys would care for it, but they ate all there was and complained that there wasn't more.

Re:Spinach & Basil Salad with Tomatoes, Candied Walnuts & Warm Bacon Dressing

Each component of this recipe was good, but I didn't care for everything together. The combination of spinach, basil, and the dressing was simple and perfect, but the flavor was lost when combined with everything else.On a humorous note: One of my three teenage boys said it tasted like lawn care with dressing, but you can look at this positively if you apply the comment to freshness.
