This turned out perfectly, following the directions as given. Used half mozzarella and half smoked Gouda. I made this for a Super Bowl party and it was loved by all.

Re:Classic Pumpkin Pie

The best pumpkin pie! The crust is flaky and flavorful, the filling not too cloyingly sweet. I live at 5,000 feet and had to add 4minutes to the pie cooking time. I will never use another pumpkin pie recipe. Thanks, Abby!

Re:Fresh Berry Pavlova

An outstanding dessert! I followed the instructions to a T and it came out perfect. Easy to make, not labor intensive, and it looks impressive and tastes delicious. The yogurt in the whipping cream cut the heavy feel. The meringue was light and of perfect consistency. Guests were excited as it looked terrific and the 6 of us polished off the whole thing after a delicious dinner. A certain keeper.

Re:Creamy Orange Ricotta Tart

I have made this tart numerous times and it always a hit. It is easy and quick to make, I usually just use the graham cracker crust. Guests are surprised by the texture of the tart and always want to know the ingredients. It is a standby at my house.

Re:Winter Fruit Salad

This is outstanding. I have made this for holiday parties for a couple of years and it never fails to get raves. I cannot always find blood orange, but even with another "regular" orange it is delicious. It is a change of pace of the normal fare. It tastes fresh when other fruit is not generally available.

Re:Lemon Icebox Pie

I made this icebox pie, and it is delicious. I did not think it was too rich, but perhaps I cut smaller pieces. The recipe is easy to follow for those not reading impaired (condensed vs evaporated milk), and keeps fabulously.

Re:Smoked Turkey Reubens

This sandwich has, at least temporarily, pushed out pizza for our traditional Friday night dinner. It is delicious and I will never eat a "standard" Rueben again. It is so fresh. I cut up the sundried tomato by hand and just mix it in a small bowl with the mayo/ketchup mixture. I don't have panini press but the sandwiches cook great with a piece of foil over them and a heavy skillet on top. Yum!

Re:Black Bean Salad with Mango, Citrus & Crunchy Jicama

We love this salad, which is great with some grilled meat and rice. I am not a lover of very spicy food, but I don't think this salad is too "hot" when you leave the seeds in the chile en adobo. When I do not have a ripe mango at hand, I substitute 2 peaches with great result. It's deelish!

Re:Argentine Spice-Rubbed Flank Steak with Salsa Criolla

This is so flavorful, without being hot. I have used the rub and salsa on chicken thighs also, and served them in tacos. Big hit!

Re:Chicken Satés with Spicy Peanut Sauce

The curry in the marinade made it very tasty. I had to cover the wooden skewers with a piece of foil as they were so close to the broiler. Do not let the sauce boil or it will break. These were a hit at a recent Superbowl party; it is quick to prep too.
