I did not have much success with this recipe. The brownie part is tasty and the cheese dough makes for a flaky crust, but I don't find that it adds anything to combine the two together. The presentation left much to be desired. This was also a lot of work, although to be fair this was mentioned in the recipe's introduction.
This cookie takes a little more time than the Palmiers, but well worth the effort. The bowtie is very festive looking and is delicious! Having a scale and a ruler for this whole recipe helps make all the cookies look more uniform.
