Sesame-Soy Sauce

This sauce is great over grilled flank steak, especially if you use this five-spice rub on the steak. Yields about 1 cup.

1/3 cup toasted sesame oil
1 Tbs. minced fresh ginger
1 Tbs. minced garlic
1/3 cup orange juice
1/4 tsp. five-spice powder
1/4 tsp. red pepper flakes
1/4 tsp. ground fennel seed
2 Tbs. balsamic vinegar
2 Tbs. soy sauce
1 Tbs. sugar

In a small bowl, whisk all the ingredients. This sauce keeps for 3 to 4 days in the refrigerator.
