1/27/2013Made this over the weekend and doubled the recipe. Used all the ingredients except substituted dried cilantro for the fresh which was okay but fresh would have been better. Might add a little more cayenne next time than called for in the recipe. The hoisin and red onion blended well and added a great taste. Also, toasted the egg twist rolls in salted butter using a cast iron skillet.

1/9/2013I always feel secure about recipes when seeing "Longbotham" as author. Last night's dinner did not disappoint. Yes, this is an utterly simple creation, but most delicious. This reminded us very much of "Moo Shoo" that we so enjoy when heading out for a Chinese meal. This dish will be a "go to" on nights when we want lots of flavor with little effort!
Thank you Lori for this one.
Cheers,
Jeff

1/8/2013Nice for something different but not spectacular. Good for a weeknight since it was quick. Didn't add the lime as it wasn't at all spicy and I didn't think it was needed. Would make again but not in a hurry, and would probably double the spice.

1/8/2013This was delicious. The ginger, cilantro, lime combination was great and we will definitely make it again. I used less hoisin than the recipe called for and it still turned out amazing.
Next time we're going to try it lettuce wrap style with butter lettuce.

1/6/2013This is excellent! I didn't use the cayenne pepper and didn't miss it. Otherwise made it as written. Great flavor profile, had all the pantry items, used "sweet" sandwich rolls and will be making again.
