Austria won gold for alpine skiing while Germany, Poland and Austria took gold, silver and bronze respectively for ski-jumping in the 2014 Olympic Winter Games so why not cook up a dinner redolent with European and Eastern European classics to feast on while slope watching? Depending on your crowd, Beer-Braised Bratwursts with Pickle Juice Slaw, or Grilled Steak and Peppered Spaetzle with Black Trumpet Mushrooms and Shallot Marmalade would make great entrees, the Potato and Cheese Pierogi is a yummy pop-in-your-mouth hors d’oeuvre, while Braised Red Cabbage with Red Zinfandel makes a perfect side.
