Don’t hate me for saying this, but I hate jarred mayo. Homemade aioli, I’m good with. There’s just something about packaged mayonnaise, even the “good” brand, that gets my gag reflex every time. I think it’s the combination of the eggy, tangy smell and that jiggly texture. Even the wet “plop” sound it makes when you spoon it into a recipe makes me squeamish.
Fine, enough about the mayo already!
