Update: Congrats to Michaela! Her Grilled Stuffed Peppers are the dish you’re wild about.
Again, a hearty thanks to everyone who shared a grilled wild card dish with us. We’ve loved following your adventures on the grill.
Special thanks go out again to two favorite Grill-lympians. Both won in previous weeks, but we’ve just got to share what they put on the grill this week:
Grilled Peach-Vanilla Bean Crisp
Grilled Garlic Shrimp with Herbs
Now, on to this week’s finalists. . .
For those of us stuck at our desks this week, Pufferbellies’ Grilled Seafood Pasta was a breath of fresh (sea) air. We all wished we could’ve joined in on that picnic on the beach!
MichaelaMia’s Grilled Stuffed Peppers truly captured the spirit of wild card grilling. Sure, we’ve seen peppers on the grill, but stuffed with a savory quinoa mixture and topped with fresh herbs adds another level to simply grilled vegetables.
Finally, Ken Fisher’s Coco Chile Game Hens also caught our attention because besides being smoked over pecan pellets, then warmed on the grill, the dish struck us especially suitable for guests or special-occasion grilling. On his site, he described the finished dish as “rockin’ with the full sweet flavor of the cocoa, then rollin’ with the low heat of the chipotle chile.” We hear that.
Which wild card are you wild about? Vote using the poll below and come back tomorrow to see the winning entry.
