If you’ve ever visited our Community Gallery or the Recipe Exchange, you’ve no doubt oohed and ahhed over a photo or recipe submitted by our true-to-her-cybername member, Pielove. All the entries posted to the Update the Classics Challenge were interesting and innovative, but Pielove’s palate-cleansing Cranberry (Sauce) Negroni Sorbet got our attention. Maybe it was her “sauced” pun. Maybe it was the fact that her description was so detailed we found ourselves both A). putting her recipe on our must-make lists and B). craving a cocktail.
Thanks to everyone who entered the contest and to MetroKitchen.com for giving our winner a $200 shopping spree on their site. Go crazy, Pielove! Congratulations.
Honorable Mention:
We’ve got to highlight two gorgeous entries from TheNaptimeChef: her Eggnog Cheesecake with Gingersnap Crust and Pomegranate Glaze and her recipe for Corn Pudding with Jalapenos and Parmesan Crust. Her posts made us wish we could somehow finagle an invite to her holiday table.

Robyn, thank you for your help in getting my posts into the right place! Thanks also to my fabulous photographers, Mike and Clara! Too bad we weren't fast enough to capture the flamed orange peel garnish.
