Pancakes have always been simple to make, but this pretty batter bowl from Bennington Potters in Vermont makes them even easier. A hefty handgrip, a pouring spout, and a 1-1/2-quart capacity mean that you can mix the batter in the bowl and then pour it straight from the bowl onto your griddle. There’s no dipping and dripping with a separate batter scoop. The bowl also works great for waffles, cupcakes, and anything else that begins as a pourable batter. Orvis (800-541-3541; www.orvis.com) sells the Bennington batter bowl for $29 plus shipping.
