Brown bag blotter

Fine Cooking Issue 94

Brown paper grocery bags are so handy in the kitchen. I like to use them as blotters when peeling potatoes or hard-boiled eggs, for cutting juicy fruit, handling raw meat and fish, and for draining fried foods. After you’re finished with your task, if the bag’s not too messy, you can recycle it or just roll it up and throw it away–no mess and no waste.
