After several days at the show, some very clear color trends began to emerge. So what are the hot colors for 2007? Let’s just say if you saved any avocado-green appliances from the 70s, you’ll be very this season. The muted light green was everywhere, though today it’s often called by more exotic names, like wasabi.

Paired with the green was plenty of pumpkin, brown and dark teal blue, for an earthy fall palette.

But we also saw a paler, more spring-like rendition of these colors from the German tableware maker Arzberg.

And a few companies were adding a dark, purplish burgundy. At Emile Henry the color was called fig; at Mario Batali, chianti.
