There’s something amazing about churros. I just can’t get enough of those delectable fried snacks covered in cinnamon, sugar, and butter. I’ve been going to Disneyland almost every year since I was born, and churros have always been a staple of the experience. No trip to Disneyland can end without churros. As a kid, my parents limited my brothers and me to one churro each during the evening fireworks or parade – no need to get the kids hyped up on sugar. Since high school, though, I’ve had my own money to spend on whatever I wanted. No more begging for more churros every time I passed a stand with that sweet smell wafting toward me. I probably spend almost as much money on churros as I do on my one or two souvenirs. I even bought one in the morning once. Breakfast of champions right there.
Due to this lifelong love of churros, I was delighted by Joy the Baker’s post about her Homemade Churros. Her version sounds just as amazing as the Disneyland version, and now I won’t have to wait a year in between each trip to have them!
If you love churros, as well, but are looking for something a little bit different, try Fine Cooking’s twist on churros, Warm Cinnamon Crisps. These small treats are made with tortillas and are the perfect snack to go with frozen hot chocolate.
