UPDATE: We are no longer taking reservations for the May 2014 tour, but look forward to offering other delicious tours in the future.

If you’ve dreamed of cooking alongside a premier Italian chef or sipping a glass of Lambrusco wine overlooking a vineyard actually in Modena, or noshing on the culinary specialties of the gastronomic capital of the world, this is your chance.

Fine Cooking has partnered with Academia Barilla to bring you an incredible journey into Italian food culture. Enjoy white-glove treatment throughout your visit, with luxury accommodations, and private transportation. You’ll experience the perfect blend of hands-on classes, visits and tastings with regional producers. There’s even a day at the spa (this IS a vacation, after all!)

Your trip starts and ends with a class in Academia Barilla’s state-of-the-art kitchen, cooking and eating traditional recipes, paired with the best wines the region has to offer. In between, you’ll tour Parma and its outer provinces to visit producers of the local specialties in both food and drink, learn about their process, and sample some of their wares: everything from cheeses, prosciutto, and aged balsamic vinegars to gelato and wine.
