Plobvert, if Bittman is too simple have you tried reading Michael Pollan?

The following quotes from your issue #97 pretty much sum up the entire book.
The Reading List
New must-buys for food lovers. BY KIMBERLY Y. M ASIBAY
"A trip to the
supermarket can stir up a stew
of questions about where our
food comes from; how animals
and crops are raised; how our
choices affect our health and our
planet."
"It’s simple: Cut out the junk. Eat
fewer animals. Feast on lots of
real whole foods—fruits, veggies,
grains."
While the book was an interesting read it would have made a better article.
Bittman simply spends too much time going over the same facts chapter after chapter. It is nice to see people tackling these issues and I fully support the effort but the book was too long for the simple message it set out to convey.
