The summer is almost over, and I’m not quite ready to give up the best part of summer: ice cream store runs. We’ve been doing a lot of grilling, lately, with the Grill-lympics, and most of the time, my family and I will run over to the ice cream store afterward; there’s nothing better than cool ice cream after a night of grilling. Unfortunately, the owners of the local ice cream store will be “Gone Fishin'” once it starts getting colder, and they won’t return until spring.

If you’re not ready for summer to end, either, enjoy your favorite ice cream store treat while you still can. But when it starts cooling down, and you’re still craving ice cream, try Nicole’s recipe for Fresh Strawberry Ice Cream on Baking Bites and enjoy the combination of fresh strawberries and sweet, cool ice cream. Then create your own ice cream recipe with our Ice Cream Recipe Maker. You can make some at home and bring the taste and feeling of ice cream parlor ice cream home.
