“This tool goes straight back to my mom,” says senior copy/production editor Chris Hoelck. “Basically, these measuring devices are great for sticky substances (honey, molasses, corn syrup) or semi-solids (pumpkin puree, peanut butter) that are tough or sloppy to measure with a conventional measuring cup. You adjust the gradation to the amount you need, then pour or pack in the ingredient. You then slide down the clear plastic portion of the measure and it scrapes everything cleanly into the bowl. I love this tool, and every time I use it, I think of my mom.”
