Welcome to Homegrown/Homemade. I’m a cook who needs some help in the garden and Fine Gardening‘s Danielle Sherry is a gardener who needs some help in the kitchen. We’ve teamed up to show gardeners and cooks of all skill levels how get the most out of their crops from seed to plate.
Recipe Demo: Brown Butter Summer Squash Linguine
Thanks to our good friend Susie Middleton, I’ve got a new way to cook zucchini that doesn’t leave you with a lot of bland mush in a pool of liquid (you know exactly what I’m talking about). In this episode, I’m demonstrating Susie’s Brown Butter Summer Squash Linguine. It’s so good, once I get Danielle hooked, I know she’ll make it again and again. I’ve used almonds in this recipe, as nutty flavors pair really well with all squashes, but you can use hazelnuts, if you prefer.
