Welcome to Homegrown/Homemade. I’m a cook who needs some help in the garden and Fine Gardening‘s Danielle Sherry is a gardener who needs some help in the kitchen. We’ve teamed up to show gardeners and cooks of all skill levels how get the most out of their crops from seed to plate

Episode Three: How to Harvest Potatoes
With any root crop, it’s a little tricky to know when to harvest, but the hilling technique allows you to easily check on how they’re sizing up. In this video, Danielle and I decide to harvest some of the potato crop while they’re still young, tender baby potatoes.
