We’ve all done it: bought an ingredient specifically for a recipe, but then the recipe never got made. I was planning to try a chicken and kale stew I had clipped from the newspaper, but got stuck at the office too late to pull it together. My husband started dinner before I got home, so we ended up having chicken “his” way (drowned in white wine and lemon juice, and sprinkled liberally with Cajun spice or whatever he feels like using). We ended up with a perfectly fine weekday chicken meal, and a huge bunch of kale crowding the top shelf of the refrigerator. Before it turned into slimy green mush, I decided to try the kale chips I’ve seen making their way around the blogosphere. Simple, crunchy, and delicious, they were the perfect appetizer the next night (before eating the leftover chicken). (Thanks to the folks at Apartment Therapy for the recipe!)

Thanks Nancy!
When I made it, I tore it into the larger pieces - 1/2 inch would be too small.
Chow Baby has posted a correction for this recipe. The pieces are to be torn into 1-2" pieces - not 1/2"
