Hand-washing a blender can be tricky business, and I hate sticking my sponge-and my fingers-near the sharp blades. Instead, I put a few drops of dishwashing soap into the blender and fill it about a third full with warm water. I put on the cover, turn the blender to high for about 20 seconds, and then pour out the soapy water. Rinse and the job is done, safely.
