The arrival of recent houseguests had me searching for an easy, yet special breakfast dish. I didn’t want to have to wake early to prepare anything, and I also didn’t want to play short-order cook in the kitchen while everyone else downed mimosas in the next room.
Quyen and Derrick over at Kitchen Runway provided my salvation with their Maple Bacon and Apple Baked French Toast. Assemble it all the night before, then stash it in the fridge. The next morning, it bakes for an hour, slowly rousing everyone with an incredible sweet-bacony smell.
A keeper recipe that’s already made my Christmas brunch men
