Congratulations to Amanda, aka acceleratio, winner of our first Pinterest contest!

We asked users to create a pinboard of their ultimate dinner party, complete with ideas for setting, decor, attire, and of course, recipes from Fine Cooking. We saw dozens of parties that we wish we were invited to, set everywhere from a Mediterranean yacht to a balcony in Venice.

And while it’s easy to envision a fabulous dinner party in one of those glamorous locations, Amanda actually had us drooling over her rustic feast in rural Arkansas: an al fresco dinner at Petit Jean Mountain. She set the tables with Mason jars of native Arkansas wildflowers and pretty citronella candles. On the menu: fried catfish with coleslaw and cornbread, heirloom tomato-peach salad, grilled okra with smoked paprika dip, and a stovetop blackberry cobbler.

For her inspired party, Amanda wins a subscription to Fine Cooking and a set of Taunton’s newest cookbooks. But while there was just one prize, we can’t resist mentioning some of our inspired runners up:

Tina Lichtlin’s couples’ picnic on the lawn
, featuring tea-smoked chicken salad, grilled watermelon gazpacho, and ginger scones with homemade jam. Best non-food detail: a game of Lawn Twister to heat things up.

For her dinner party in Santorini overlooking the Mediterranean, Julie Howick put together a menu of Greek deliciousness, including grilled lamb chops, grilled eggplant, and pan-fried halloumi cheese.

Cevoski9 for her (very timely) Cinco de Mayo party with scrumptious Mexican dishes and plenty of fun details (was that a hamster in a sombrero?).

Congrats to Amanda and thanks to all of our entrants for their creativity and inspired picks! And keep an eye out for more Pinterest contests coming soon.

Hi Jimbo316, it looks like that board is actually no longer live on Pinterest, unfortunately!

Unfortunately, the Cinco de Mayo link is a dead one. Can you fix?
