Oil misters are popular for helping reduce the amount of oil used in cooking and baking recipes. They quickly and effectively coat large areas (baking sheets, skillets, food, work surfaces) when only a touch of oil is needed, as in the Bavarian-Style Pretzels from Fine Cooking #119. To create the pressure needed for an even spray they need only be pumped a few times (each manufacturer recommends the optimal number of pumps). These three models are our favorites.
