I am a lover of all things dairy. Milk is my favorite beverage above any kind of alcohol. I easily go through more than half a gallon in a week by myself and I’m not a growing boy. I’m going to stand tall well into my nineties.
Tres Leches is basically my dream cake. It’s a tender butter cake soaked in condensed milk, evaporated milk, and heavy cream and then topped with billowy whip cream or meringue. Not only do you get to bake a cake, which is already such a treat, but you then bathe it in three different milks. Three milks! That’s about as yummy as it gets. 
Maria’s recipe for Tres Leches on Serious Eats looks just delicious and it seems like a cinch to put together. It sounds like she shares my love of dairy. I know what I’m making this weekend.
