Demand is growing for pressure cookers, or at least that’s what several manufacturers at the show believe, judging from the new offerings. Cuisinart has updated the traditional stove-top model with an electric version in brushed stainless with black accents. The 6-quart unit has digital controls, but also the traditional float that tells you when full pressure has been achieved. Safety features include a locking lid that won’t open until pressure has been released, erasing fears of steam burns. Retail price is $149.
