Opening this book, with its charmingly rustic aesthetic, felt like I was back with my friends in Brooklyn. Makes sense-author Karen Mordechai is the creator of the Brooklyn-based Sunday Suppers cooking club and blog. As I flipped through her book, I found myself wanting to make her well-curated and delicious-sounding menus for friends in Connecticut, too, (where I actually have a dining room to accommodate such things). I’m already in the throes of planning a “Winter Brunch”–everything bagels with tea-and-ginger-cured sea bass, followed by fig tart. Up next will be her “Whiskey Feast” of whiskey-glazed ribs, chili, and fries with pink pepper aĂŻoli.
