The 2012 Olympic Games are officially in full swing and I’ve got just the blog to share with you in celebration of this momentous occasion. It’s called Scarletta Bakes and Meagan is the knowledgeable voice behind the recipes, photos and words you’ll find there. 

In celebration of the Olympic Games, which hold its roots in Ancient Greece, Meagan has whipped up this impossibly simple tzatziki sauce. A traditional Greek condiment, tzatziki is made of just a few simple ingredients like Greek yogurt, cucumber and fresh lemon juice. Meagan flavors hers with plenty of fresh dill, while my family loves to load it with freshly-minced garlic. 

Tzatziki is a perfect condiment for grilled meats and fish, but is also just as delicious smeared over pita bread or as a dip for falafel, crudités and even (enter guilty pleasure here) French fries. Meagan said she would dip her fingers in it if she thought she could get away with it. 

Make some tzatziki for your loved ones this week. With that powerful protein punch and fresh flavors, it’s sure to win you a gold medal in the kitchen.
