This summer, we asked our Facebook fans to share their most memorable meals involving mustard. Your answers ran the gamut from a ballpark frank to Ecuadorian mustard rice. We chose three of the most delicious-sounding memories and turned them over to our test kitchen to turn into detailed recipes.
Jean-Pierre Morin shared this idea for a Pork Wellington–a riff on the classic beef Wellington, but swapping pork tenderloin for the beef. It’s brushed with mustard and encased in golden puff pastry, with a stuffing of sauteed fennel and apples.
From Barbara Cornwell came the idea for mustard potato salad. Our test kitchen ran with the German-inspired classic to create this recipe of baby Yukon Gold potatoes in a warm mustard dressing, with bacon, pickled onions, and plenty of herbs.
Finally, Randy Fong suggested a mustard-and-salt-crusted roast beef. We’ve paired it with roasted root vegetables and a creamy mustard-horseradish sauce that make it a perfect centerpiece for a holiday meal.
So, which recipe would you serve for YOUR memorable meal? Vote below and let us know!
