We got our first serious snow of the winter early in the week. There was much griping about shoveling and school closings, but no one was mad that this was the view out of our office window.
When we got back, it was pizza time! These six balls of dough represent a fraction of the total.
Kathleen gets a lesson in proper pizza-peel-flouring technique from Juli. She put her new skill to practice immediately. At the rate she’s going, she’ll be opening her own shop after her internship.
She’s already got her pizza-mise-en-place down pat. That’s four bowls of cheese, if you’re keeping track.
You may recall that Juli had a cracked pizza stone last week. This week, she used a steel.” That feels goooood,” she said as she slid the pizza off the parchment.
