Kathy and Erin were in Charleston over the weekend, for the Charleston Wine and Food Festival. Plenty of people crowded around for a demo by chef Anthony Lamas of local Southern-Latin restaurant Seviche.
Needless to say, there was plenty of good eating at the festival.
Meanwhile, I was in Chicago for the International Housewares Show. I might have spotted a big-name chef or two, also. Here’s Emeril, air-frying away at the Kalorik booth.
For those of us drawn to shiny things, KitchenAid’s wall of color is an IHS must. Down at the bottom right corner is this year’s new color, Champagne Gold.
Back at FC HQ, spring was in the air this week. Sure, there are still a couple feet of snow on the ground, but look how happy Kathleen is to be grilling outside in ballet flats and no jacket.
Our photo shoots felt a little springier, too. Look at all that sunshine pouring in, all that pastel propping.
And finally, a preview of what we’re testing right now. We usually try to keep tastes to just a couple of bites of each dish, but this stuff makes it difficult.
