This week started on a sad note. Senior editor Denise is moving to Denver (and Craftsy). We’re very excited for her new adventure, but we’ll all miss her and her cocktails. We sent her off in high style with her favorite, an old-fashioned.
While cleaning out her desk, Denise found this old newspaper clipping with her grandmother’s recipe. Guess the apple didn’t fall far from the tree.
A walk over to the test kitchen shows that fall has most definitely arrived, bringing with it blustery winds and colorful leaves.
But we managed to squeeze in a final outdoor photo shoot, with Juli on the grill, and the photographer trying to capture a little extra brightness.
Juli’s whole family, including her daughter and father here, joined in the fun.
Looks like a good time was had by all. What a photogenic family! We assure you, the food was beautiful and tasty too.
It was a long and busy week, but we ended on a sweet note with an apple raspberry cake from Chris.
