Urbani Truffles

Carlo Urbani, an avid truffle hunter, founded Urbani Truffles in 1850, in Umbria, Italy, and the purveyor has remained a family business ever since, even as it grew to become a truffle supplier around the world. (Paolo Urbani, Carlo’s son, who passed away in 2010, became know as the “Re del Tartufo,” the Truffle King). Urbani sells black and white truffles in season, along with truffle oils and other truffle products, a selection of dried mushrooms, from morels to chanterelles, and caviar.

At Urbani’s Upper West Side, New York, outpost, there is a Truffle Lab, an education center, where you can take cooking classes such as Brunching with Truffles and Truffling with Pizza. You can also attend seasonal truffle-centric dinners and events like Truffling with Kids!
