Food and family go hand-in-hand. In the background of every wonderful memory that I have stored in my brain of times with family there is a dish of something wonderful.
That being said, there’s not a tremendous outlet in my weekly college newspaper to develop skills as a food writer. That is why I decided to intern at Fine Cooking this summer. I was starting to get antsy and wanted to wander off my comfortably-worn and beaten path and do something totally new while still working with something that had a degree of familiarity.
Coming home for summer break not only means coming home to delicious home-made meals but also coming home to a new experience that I just can’t wait to sink my teeth into.
