Break the Yom Kippur fast with this low-fuss buffet of favorites with a twist. For mini bites to whet the appetite, there are rounds of toasted challah topped with smoked salmon. More hearty brunchy fare includes Cheese Blintzes with Strawberry Sauce, Rainbow Chard-Potato Frittata, spotlighting the season’s best greens, and a creamy Smoked Trout Salad with cucumber and dill. Depending on the size of your crowd, you can add homemade or store-bought challah or bagels (or both) to pair with the frittata and trout salad. And to make sure everyone eats something sweet, there’s Sweet Noodle Kugel and Chocolate Ripple Coffee Cake.
