Brunch is the go-to meal for Mother’s Day, but Father’s Day? Not so much. And why not? In our experience, dads love a good pancake meal just as much as moms. Especially these pancakes, which boast great hearty texture from cornmeal and wheat germ, and are dressed in a smoky-sweet bacon-bourbon maple syrup. The rest of the brunch also celebrates Dad’s sweet AND salty side, with a fresh green salad dotted with herb-and-bacon-roasted peaches and creamy dressing, and salt-rimmed grapefruit-tequila cocktails to drink. This menu will serve 4 to 6, depending on how hearty the appetites are (the shopping list includes enough grapefruit juice and tequila for 4 cocktails).
