Yield: Yields about 1 quart.
This ice cream recipe uses David Lebovitz’s simple formula to create your own custom ice-cream flavor with flavor infusions and add-ins. Here, chopped prunes soaked in Armagnac lend a flavor that transports you to the south of France.
Absolutely gourmet! I used brandy the two times I’ve made this so far and it is beyond amazing. Now I’ve received some Armagnac (requested as a gift!) and I can taste how this’ll go beautifully with prunes - can’t wait to make it exactly according to the recipe. This and F.C.’s Chocolate, Beer, and Chile are our two most glorious ice cream finds!
