Bloody Berry Margarita

photo: Mike Yamin

Servings: 1

Make this blood-red margarita extra spooky by rimming the glass with black sanding sugar.

  • Black sanding sugar, for the glass
  • 1 lime wedge
  • 1 oz. silver tequila
  • 1 oz. blueberry juice
  • 3 Tbs. fresh lime juice
  • 1/2 oz. orange liqueur, such a Cointreau
  • 1/2 oz. raspberry liqueur, such as Chambord
  • 1-1/2 tsp. agave syrup
  • Fresh blackberries, for garnish

  • Place the sugar on a small plate. Rub the rim of a serving glass with the lime wedge, and then dip in the sugar. Fill with ice and set aside.
  • Combine the tequila, blueberry juice, lime juice, both liqueurs, and agave syrup in a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake vigorously and strain into the serving glass. Garnish with blackberries and serve.
