It’s best to layer this elegant salad, so the avocado and grapefruit don’t weigh down the delicate greens. If you like, you can mix a handful of arugula or thinly sliced radicchio with the frisée.

Couldn't find champagne vinegar so used white wine vinegar. Couldn't find frisee so had to use endive. Salad has nice flavor.
I have made this salad over and over again. It is quick, easy, refreshing and excellent. I've made it at home for the family and also for guests... a real hit every time.
